Access Constellation reune\u0219te institu\u021bii culturale, arti\u0219ti, exper\u021bi \u00een accesibilitate \u0219i comunit\u0103\u021bi locale din Rom\u00e2nia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cine vine la Academie?<\/strong>\u00a0Vor veni exper\u021bi din mai multe \u021b\u0103ri. These include limited access to professional training, adapted working environments and cultural production systems, as well as the absence of accredited training in accessible and inclusive practice.\r\n\r\nConsequently, disabled artists and cultural professionals remain significantly underrepresented and are often expected to demonstrate exceptional ability in order to progress within systems that were not designed to enable their equal participation. The findings point to the need for sustained investment in accessibility, professional capacity building and long-term approaches to inclusive cultural practice.\r\n\r\nThe\u00a0<strong>Accessibility Academy<\/strong>\u00a0is an invitation to do things differently \u2013 to bring together people from across the cultural sector and think collectively about how a genuinely inclusive cultural sector could look like and what it would take to achieve it.\r\n\r\nThe\u00a0<strong>Accessibility Academy<\/strong>\u00a0aims to bring together cultural workers, creative practitioners, access advisors, researchers, activists and disabled community members to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and build real connections rather than follow a fixed rulebook. It will explore questions such as:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>What does accessibility look like across different cultural contexts?<\/li>\r\n \t<li>How can vocational pathways for disabled artists be strengthened?<\/li>\r\n \t<li>What can Romania learn from European models \u2013 and what can it contribute in return?<\/li>\r\n \t<li>How do we move from policy compliance to lived, creative practice?<\/li>\r\n \t<li>How can we create cultural spaces where everyone can experience a sense of belonging, curiosity, and joy?<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>Programme Overview<\/h3>\r\n<strong>Instituto\u00a0Cervantes, Sala Auditorium Bucharest | September 3\u20134<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>| 10:00 - 18:00\u00a0<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe\u00a0<strong>Accessibility Academy<\/strong>\u00a0is a\u00a0<strong>two-day event\u00a0<\/strong>open to cultural workers, creative practitioners, access advisors, researchers, activists, disabled artists, disability community representatives, and cultural institutes\u2019 staff.\r\n\r\nEuropean speakers and facilitators invited by EUNIC Romania cluster, along with their Romanian peers,will share perspectives and experiences from their own national and regional contexts. As with anything related to access, the sessions won't be one-size-fits-all; there will be a mix of\u00a0<strong>talks<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>workshops<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>screenings<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>open exchange conversations<\/strong>. They will address a range of subjects, including:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Organising culturally inclusive events;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Deaf theatre practices;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Accessible built environments;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Navigating the cultural sector as a disabled artist;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Making theatre accessible with and for neurodivergent and learning disabled people;<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nParticipants are invited to engage together as equal partners, comparing approaches, exchanging experiences, and building meaningful professional connections. This may include artists, cultural managers, producers, curators, programmers, communication professionals, educators, mediators, journalists and critics.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Professionals and practitioners working in disability rights &amp; advocacy.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nYou do not need formal qualifications in the arts or cultural sector to apply.
