Since 1983, he has worked with professional deaf actors, pioneering bilingual performances in Austrian Sign Language and spoken German. His work has expanded to deafblind and disabled artists, promoting inclusive theatre and linguistic accessibility. He directs VISUAL – European and International Visual Theatre Festival and leads the theatre and research project War is daDa.
