This year, the theme of water ecologies was a meta-subject. Romania’s rural landscape represents 90% of the country’s territory, with diverse climates and natural resources. While three rivers in Romania have vanished, seven European artists, each representing a different European country, have explored local approaches to the cultural ecology of water in rural areas of Romania, in the context of the ??????? ??????? multi-residency program.??????? ??????? aimed to harbour meaningful collaborations between artists, architects, anthropologists, hydrologists or community organisers and the local partnering organisations from Romania.We are now reaching the end of the project and you can now “Meet the Artists” in the event which takes place online on Facebook Live Stream.

???????????? ( NELE BRÖKELMANN and JUNE YU) have been in residency at Watermelon AIR Residency with the support of The Embassy of the Netherlands in Romania.
