Ziua Europeană a Limbilor Străine 2024: Pace prin comunicare

🇪🇺 Fiți alături de noi pe 21 septembrie, de la ora 11.00 AM, la o sărbătorire timpurie a Zilei Europene a Limbilor 2024, care este sărbătorită oficial la 26 septembrie în fiecare an. Această zi a fost inițiată de Consiliul Europei în 2001 pentru a promova diversitatea lingvistică, a încuraja învățarea limbilor străine și a sublinia importanța limbilor în promovarea înțelegerii interculturale.

Sub tema din acest an, „Limbile pentru pace”, vom explora modul în care limbile pot acționa ca punți de pace și unitate în lumea de astăzi. 🪽🪽

Organizat de EUNIC România, evenimentul va reuni institute culturale și lingvistice, printre care British Council România, Institutul Cervantes, Goethe-Institut București, Institutul Cultural Italian, Institutul Cultural Român, Institutul Francez București și Institutul Yunus Emre.

🌍 European Day of Languages 2024: Languages for Peace 🌍

Join us in an early celebration of the European Day of Languages 2024, on 21st September, from 11.00 AM, which is officially celebrated on 26th September each year. This day was initiated by the Council of Europe in 2001 to promote linguistic diversity, encourage language learning, and highlight the importance of languages in fostering cross-cultural understanding

.Under this year’s theme, “Languages for Peace,” we’ll explore how languages can act as bridges of peace and unity in today’s world. 🌿✨

Organized by EUNIC Romania, the event will bring together cultural and language institutes, including British Council Romania, Cervantes Institute, Goethe-Institute Bucharest, Italian Cultural Institute, Romanian Cultural Institute, and the French Institute Bucharest.

Flowing Streams: Meet the Artists

🌊This year, the theme of water ecologies was a meta-subject. Romania’s rural landscape represents 90% of the country’s territory, with diverse climates and natural resources. While three rivers in Romania have vanished, seven European artists, each representing a different European country, have explored local approaches to the cultural ecology of water in rural areas of Romania, in the context of the 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐒 multi-residency program.𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐒 aimed to harbour meaningful collaborations between artists, architects, anthropologists, hydrologists or community organisers and the local partnering organisations from Romania.We are now reaching the end of the project and you can now “Meet the Artists” in the event which takes place online on Facebook Live Stream.

💦The artists who have been in the 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐒 artistic residency are:
🔵 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐔𝐍 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐍 has benefited of a residency at In Context/Slanic Moldova /La Centrala with the Support of British Council Romania.

🔵 𝐕𝐀́𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐕 𝐒̌𝐀𝐍𝐀 has explored The Experimental Station for Research on Art and Life with the support of Institute of Arts – Theatre Institute, in cooperation with Czech Centres and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.

🔵 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐃𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐒𝐈𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐙𝐊𝐎 has been in residency at Eforie Colorat with the support of the Polish Institute Bucharest.

🔵 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 ( NELE BRÖKELMANN and JUNE YU) have been in residency at Watermelon AIR Residency with the support of The Embassy of the Netherlands in Romania.

🔵 𝐎𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐘𝐀 𝐆Á𝐋 has been in residency at Intersecţia with the support of Fundația9.

🔵 𝐉𝐎𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐀 𝐯𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐍 visited TERRRA – The School of Planetary Gardens Atelier d’Architecture Autogérée with the support of Goethe-Institut Bucharest.

🔵 𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐆𝐆𝐈𝐀 has been in residency at CUCA (Cârțișoara Cultural Center) with the support of the The Italian Cultural Institute Bucharest.
